Welcome to my tea time tea reviews . I've been testing different herbal teas to replace my coffee which has been going really well I'm down from 6 cups a day to 1 first thing in the morning .

Cutting down my coffee really has made a difference to my moods and sleep , my anxiety seems easier to cope with, now when I feel anxious I just seem to be able to get it under control more than I did when I was full of caffeine, I've noticed if I have more than one coffee now I feel quite jittery very quickly and really don't like the way it makes me feel.

Sleep is something I've been struggling with on and off for a while and this has improved with out the coffee, infact one of the teas I've been drinking is amazing to help you sleep . I honestly can't remember the last time I slept like I have been doing since I've been drinking this tea .




TEA no 1 NIGHT TIME TEA


Vanilla chai by pukka

a caffeine free organic lift flush with cinnamon warmth


This was the first tea I tried as I've said many times fruit teas are not for me. I was drawn to this one as I love cinnamon and had no fruit or floral notes.

This started as a afternoon tea to replace my cup of coffee after the school run . With it being caffeine free I thought it would be nice to also try at night, around 8 pm one night I was craving a warm drink so I decided to make a cup of the vanilla chai, It wasn't long before I could feel my eyes going , that night I slept just like I used to as a kid . I have mixed it up over the weeks but this one by far is the best one to help you fall a sleep .

I started to record my sleep on my fit bit and this is how I slept after having drank this tea .




The smell you get from this tea is like a warm cinnamon bun that puts you instantly in a happy, relaxed, cozy place just what you want to feel at the end of the day .



INGREDIENTS


Cinnamon bark

ginger root , licorice root , cardamom pod , sweet fennel

vanilla pod and vanilla flavor


All these ingredience have great health benefits but the one that struck me the most is the licorice root and this maybe why I've been sleeping so well .



LICORICE ROOT

Licorice acts as a mild sedative activated by phytochemical's. that tell the brain its time to sleep.


It's good for

Heartburn and fatigue

It also has a estrogen affect in women lending it's self as an option for menopause , menstrual and fertility related concerns ,can also help hot flushes , reduces stress ,anxiety and depression an over all hormone helping ingredient.




TEA no 2 afternoon tea



PUKKA THREE GINGER TEA


A warm swirl of organic ginger, galangal and golden turmeric


As the vanilla chai worked so well as a night time tea I was on the look out for an afternoon tea . This one is great if your looking for a warm feeling on a cold afternoon but the ginger gives you a afternoon pick me up .

Ginger root , Galangal ,Licorice root, Turmeric root , Natural ginger extract


I have drank this at night and I did sleep well as it to as licorice root in but only 4% the vanilla chai has a lot more . I picked this one as I love ginger but I also wanted to try it as it has turmeric in and knew turmeric has lots of health benefits , from stress relief to reducing risks of Alzheimer's




TEA no 3 morning tea


Pukka matcha green tea


A vital wellspring of organic whole leaf green tea and the finest matcha


I've drank green tea on and off for a few years when trying to give up coffee . I think for me drinking green tea is a good way to help cut your intake of coffee because it contains a small amount of caffeine , it's like weaning you off . When I've tried to give up coffee before I suffered with really awful headaches so substituting a green tea to start of my caffeine free living has really helped . I used this as a mid morning drink as it has caffeine in I didn't want to drink it as a afternoon tea as caffeine stays in your system for 4/6 hours this is another reason I think I'm sleeping much better .

Green tea is also full of lots of health benefits add matcha makes it a super tea .

Matcha green tea is the highest quality green tea, its made from the youngest of leaves .



MATCHA

drinking matcha green tea has none of the side effects of stimulants like nervousness and hypertension

Matcha is high in antioxidants, enhances calmness and increases energy levels .

The energy boost you get from matcha is due to its unique combination of nutrients,

drinking matcha green tea has none of the side effects of stimulants like nervousness and hypertension that you would get from caffeine in coffee.



Over all I would say these teas all have a lot of menopausal symptom relief ingredients in them so if you are looking to change your diet due to menopause and give up coffee these are 3 really good options , they have certainly help me and helped me find a little zen in my house of hormones . . . .
